Funded by AP-HP, the Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster and Bpifrance, BOPtech is the Chair's technology and scientific platform, based directly inside the operating room of the Hepato-Biliary Center. It connects MedTech, Biotech and academic research to accelerate, as close to the field as possible, innovation in image-guided surgery, endoscopy and hepato-bilio-pancreatic oncology.

InMachina: how it works

Every function of the human body is reproduced by a technical module, to keep an explanted liver in near-physiological conditions - the principle behind InMachina.

InMachina: a human liver, a preclinical revolution

Supported by the PSCC, InMachina opens a new path in translational medicine: keeping cancerous human livers (HCC, CCA, metastases) in near-physiological conditions for 7 to 14 days.

This unique model lets biotech, medtech and healthcare companies test their innovations in an ultra-realistic ex vivo environment before any move into the clinic - to de-risk, validate and accelerate the development of new therapies.

Hybrid Room: the future of surgery is being built at the CHB

Thanks to Bpifrance's support, the CHB's Hybrid Room opens its doors to MedTech companies to test, validate and evolve their innovations under real conditions: image-guided surgery, endoscopy, ultrasound or interventional radiology.

This platform is equipped with the Philips Azurion 7, a latest-generation system boosted by artificial intelligence - a unique opportunity to accelerate clinical development in a hospital environment of excellence.
